Our nets (mist-net) are 90 m long and reach a height of 5 m. Our activity began in October 1995 and lasts for about 100 days a year. Since the beginning to 2001 more than 39.000 birds have been ringed, from 93 different species.
Our activity of ringing allows to carry out some researches on migration and on migratory courses of the birds, where La Passata Ornithologic Station is directly involved in many levels, besides offering the opportunity of keeping classes and lectures on migration and birds biology.
